Personal Mission Statement

Through my commitment to continual growth and excellence in both my personal life and in my career in web design and development, I intend to create positive value in the world. I seek to serve companies and clients who also aspire to this worthy goal, and who are dedicated to working as a cohesive team in order to realize it.

My Strengths

If you are searching for someone who has a passion for creating innovative web applications who can not only design but write code as well, I may be just the person you seek! With over 20 years of combined experience in programming, online design and multimedia, I bring a great deal to the table:

• Versatility: A breadth of knowledge spanning many different skills and technologies (see list at right).
• Flexibility: The ability to handle diverse aspects of a project, or to liaise well with others responsible for these areas.
• Reliability: I can be counted on to get the job done and to do it well.
• Quality: I strive for perfection, but have the maturity and life experience to realize that perfection is ultimately unattainable. I view perfection as a model for a standard of excellence towards which to continually evolve.
• Creativity: As much as we may wish for one, no "creativity button" exists which will instantaneously produce the desired results. I fearlessly tackle the hard work involved in the creative process and aim to deliver unique concepts and solutions in a timely fashion.
• Curiosity: I have a voracious appetite for learning new things and am continually updating my skill set.
• Clarity: I have been praised by classmates, instructors, and peers for the ability to distill and clarify difficult concepts. One classmate related that she loved reading my online postings because I "wrapped my entire being around the subject" (paraphrased) and was then able to share my thoughts in a meaningful fashion that eliminated confusion.
• Collaborative Skills: I am a good communicator both verbally and in writing. This includes listening and negotiation skills as well as being able to express myself.
• Discipline: I have a strong work ethic and do my utmost to provide clients, employers, and end users with the value they seek.
